Indranil Mukherjee now works with Agence France Presse as a
staff photographer in the Asia Pacific region, and was working in the
bureau in Bangalore from 2000 to 2005 before being posted to Mumbai,
where he has been heading the photo department since March 2005.
His work with the agency has led him to cover several international
major events, such as the tsunami aftermath in Sri Lanka in 2004, the
first presidential elections in Afghanistan in 2005, the earthquake in
Kashmir in 2005 and the 2006 train bombs in Mumbai
His prior work experience includes working as Chief Photographer
for Media Asia Group's The Asian Age in New Delhi as well as working
with Indian Express Group's Sunday Magazine. He has also received
assignments from the Sunday Telegraph, Le Monde and The Guardian.
