Rajesh Gurung is a photojournalist from Kathmandu, Nepal. He has a diploma in still photography from the Nepal photography training institute. He holds experience as the chief of the Photo Department for the Himalayan Times (Largest selling English daily in Nepal) and the Annapurna Post (a vernacular daily) from 2002 to date.
Rajesh has had many works published. For example, he handled all photography works for YATRA, an in-flight magazine of Buddha Air, (2004); He contributed as the only Photographer for New Faces, an international magazine (1998-1999); He was a voluntary photographer for a Gurung language magazine Dhirme Tai as well as working for Tamu and Hamro Rodhi magazines amongst others.
Rajesh has worked with the Rajdhani daily and was an executive member of the Nepal Forum of Photo-Jornalists (NFPJ). He was also a member of the Association of Nepalese Indigenous Journalists. Rajesh has also attended photographic workshops and exhibited widely at World Press Photo contests and exhibitions.
His main interests are photography (especially adventure photography), politics, social service and traveling.
