Iqram Chowdhury was born in 1978. He stared his professional photographic career as an official photographer at Press Information Department (P I D) from November 1, 2005. He is also student of Pathshala, South Asian Institute of Photography. He completed Advance Diploma in Photography and studying Graduation in Photography from Pathshala.
Iqram completed his Secondary School Certificate form Government Laboratory High School, Dhaka & Higher Secondary School form B. A. F. Shaheen College, Dhaka. He admitted himself at I. E. B for AMIE (Bsc. in Civil Engineering) course. By doing that he lost his way in the middle of the course. Finally, he achieved graduation degree in social science form National University.
He attained several short photographic courses. They are a one-month long photographic basic course from Bangladesh Photographic Society, a small course on Digital photo studio from Flora Ltd and also attained Digital photographic course from National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMCO).
He participated in a number of photography workshops. Among them are with Morten Krogvold, Abbas, Norman Leslie, Witold Krassowski, Azizur Rahim Peu, Abir Abdullah and Adrian Van Egmond.
He also attended an exchange program with Norwegian students of Oslo University College (OUC) & made an individual reportage in Bangladesh and presented reportage work at GOETHE Institute.
He attained a number of group exhibitions and photographic outings. His work has been exhibited at Drik Gallery, National Gallery at Shilpakala Academy, Alliance Francais, NIMCO Gallery and Pathshala.
Iqram is a General Secretary (2007-2009) of Muktachokh photographic club and Bangladesh Photographic Society.
His great passion is for documentary photography. He loves to work as a photojournalist and plans to continue working as a Photojournalist and Documentary photographer. He is very passionate about his work and is highly ambitious in achieving his true goals in photography as well as in life.
