Late photographer Md. Kabirul Islam (1975 – 2009) was born and bred in Dhaka city. An MSC in Physics, he did Basic Course on Photography from Bangladesh Photographic Society, Dhaka, in 1997, and the Foundation Course on Photography from World Literature Centre Film Circle, Dhaka, in 2000. Besides being the Chief Photographer of Image Picture Agency, Moghbazaar, Dhaka, he was also assigned photographer for many government and non government organizations such as DOHS, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abakash Parjoton Limited, Eco Tours Limited, Bangladesh Parjoton Corporation and so on.
There are several publications on his works, some of the remarkable ones are as follows:

On October 19, 2009 this young and prolific photographer died by a road accident while in assignment in the hill tract district of Bandarban, Bangladesh.
