Mithila Jariwala was born in 1986 in Surat, India. She has been living in Singapore from July 2009 onwards. She graduated with Fine Arts Honors from LASALLE College of the Arts, pursuing her major in Fine Art Photography. Photography has been a passion of hers for the past few years. She likes to travel and she documents her journeys through the medium of photography. Apart from Travel, documentary and people, she also gets immense pleasure in shooting weddings, kids, editorial and food. She creates fine art images as well, where she juxtaposes her images to tell her story or portray her state of mind. She also does the same by using multiple exposures while documenting her journeys.
Her image was recently commended and selected by World Photography Organization out of 52,323 images entered from 171 countries. The images were also published in the Sony World Photography Awards book. The digital version of the images were displayed at Somerset House, as part of World Photo, London from 27th April to 20th May 2012.
At the moment she is working as a Photojournalist with Asian Photography Magazine and also freelancing as a photographer and writer with several other publishing companies.
